Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Tabler's Computer Repair ("we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you visit tablerscomputerrepair.com (the "Website"), call or text us, or use our computer repair, IT support, recurring plan or AI Business Solutions services (the "Services").

It works together with our Terms of Service. By using the Website or Services, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you call, text, email, book an appointment, fill out a form or sign up for a plan, we may collect:

  • Your name, phone number, email address and service address
  • Your business name, if you're a business customer
  • Details about your devices, network and the problem you need help with
  • Appointment, estimate, invoice and payment records
  • Messages, voicemails and notes from our conversations

Payment information. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We don't store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, your browser and our website tools may collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and how you got to the site. See section 7 for more.

Information from calls. When you call our business line, we collect your phone number and call details. Calls may be recorded and transcribed (see section 4).

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your calls, texts, emails and requests
  • Schedule, confirm and remind you about appointments
  • Diagnose, repair and support your devices and network
  • Send estimates and invoices, and take payments
  • Run your recurring plan, including monitoring and maintenance you've approved
  • Keep records of the work we've done for you, including warranty work
  • Improve our Website and Services
  • Protect against fraud and misuse, and meet our legal obligations

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to the Services you asked for.

Text messages, calls and our AI receptionist

Text messages. If you text us or agree to receive texts, we use your mobile number to send service messages, like appointment confirmations and reminders, updates, estimates, invoices, and replies to your questions. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

Your mobile information stays with us. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share it only with the service providers that deliver our texts for us (see section 6).

Calls answered by AI. Calls to our business line may be answered by an AI receptionist that can answer questions and book appointments. Calls may be recorded and transcribed for quality, scheduling and record-keeping. The recordings and transcripts are processed by our phone and AI service providers to provide this service. You can always ask to leave a message for a person.

AI Business Solutions clients. If you're a business using our AI receptionist, information from your callers is handled under our separate service agreement with you. You're responsible for giving your own callers and customers any notices and getting any consent the law requires.

Data on your devices during service

When we work on your computer, network or accounts, we may be able to see files, emails, photos or other personal information. Here's how we handle that:

  • We only access what we need to do the job you asked for.
  • We keep anything we see confidential.
  • We don't copy, keep or share your files unless it's part of the job (for example, a backup or data transfer you asked for) or the law requires it.
  • Remote sessions only start with your approval, and you can watch and end them at any time.
  • If you share passwords so we can do the work, we only use them for that job. We recommend changing them afterward.
  • Copies of your data made for a backup or transfer are deleted once the job is done and you've confirmed everything is in place, unless you ask us to keep them.

How we share information

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers who help us run the business. These include our customer management, phone, texting and AI receptionist platform (GoHighLevel and its phone and AI partners), our payment processor, our remote-support software, our email provider and our website host. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
  • Parts suppliers, manufacturers and data-recovery labs, when it's needed for your repair or a warranty claim, and only with your OK.
  • When the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our customers, ourselves or others.
  • If the business changes hands. If Tabler's Computer Repair is sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy.
  • With your permission, for anything else.

We don't share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Cookies and website tools

The Website uses cookies and similar tools to make the site work, remember your preferences, and help us understand how visitors use it (for example, which pages are most helpful). Some of these tools, like website analytics or embedded maps and videos, are provided by other companies and may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Website will still work, though some features may not.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no common standard for how websites should respond to it, so the Website doesn't currently change how it works when it receives one.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

How long we keep it. We keep customer records, like contact details, work history, estimates and invoices, for as long as you're a customer and for a reasonable time after, so we can honor warranties, answer questions about past work, and meet tax and legal record-keeping requirements. Call recordings, transcripts and texts are kept only as long as they're useful for service and record-keeping. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including password-protected accounts, multi-factor sign-in where available, secure remote-access tools and limited access to customer records. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you as California law requires.

Your choices and California privacy rights

You can contact us at any time to:

  • Ask what personal information we have about you
  • Correct information that's wrong or out of date
  • Ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a legal or warranty reason (we'll tell you if so)
  • Stop texts by replying STOP, or ask us not to call or email you except about work in progress

To make a request, call (760) 825-7660 or email tyler@tablerscomputerrepair.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we'll respond within 45 days. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

California "Shine the Light." California residents may ask whether we've shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing. We don't, but you're welcome to ask using the contact details above.

Children's privacy

Our Website and Services are meant for adults and businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If we make an important change to how we use your information, we'll let current customers know before it applies to them.
