Tabler's Computer Repair

Terms of Service

Plain-English terms for how we work with you, from repairs and monthly plans to texts and our AI receptionist.

Last updated: October 11, 2026

1Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of tablerscomputerrepair.com (the "Website") and to any computer repair, IT, support, recurring plan or AI Business Solutions services (the "Services") provided by Tabler's Computer Repair ("we," "us" or "our").

By using the Website, requesting service, approving an estimate, signing up for a plan, or letting us work on your devices, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Website or Services.

If we sign a separate written agreement with you (for example, a business service agreement), that agreement controls where it differs from these Terms.

2Services, estimates and payment

What we do. We provide computer repair, troubleshooting, setup, virus and malware removal, data backup and recovery, networking and Wi-Fi, and small business IT support. Services are provided remotely or on-site in our service area, which is North County San Diego and the Inland Empire.

Estimates first. Prices on our Website are starting prices. Before we do any work that goes beyond the listed price, we'll give you an estimate, and nothing extra happens without your OK. An estimate is our best judgment based on what we know at the time. If we find something new during the repair, we'll stop and check with you before going further.

Rates. Our current rates are listed on our Pricing page. On-site visits have a one-hour minimum. After-hours and emergency work is billed at the emergency rate. Time is billed in 30 minute increments after the first hour. Prices can change, but the price you approved is the price you pay for that job.

Parts and third-party costs. Parts, specialized software, licenses and outside data-recovery services are extra unless we tell you otherwise. They're billed at our cost.

Diagnostics. A hardware diagnostic is charged at the listed diagnostic price. If you approve the repair, the diagnostic fee is applied toward it.

Payment. Payment is due when the work is completed. We accept cash, card, Zelle, etc. Unpaid balances more than 30 days past due may be charged a one-time late fee of 10% of the unpaid balance (or the maximum allowed by law, if lower), and we may pause service until the account is current.

Cancellations and missed appointments. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an on-site visit. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged a $50 trip fee.

3Recurring service plans

Billing. Monthly plans (Personal, Professional and Business IT) are billed in advance each month on the date you sign up, using the payment method you give us. Plans renew automatically every month until you cancel.

What's included. Each plan covers the services listed for it on our Website at the time you sign up. Work outside the plan, like hardware repairs, parts, on-site visits not included in your plan, or large projects, is billed at our regular rates, and we'll give you an estimate first.

Device and user limits. Plans cover the number of devices or users listed for that plan. Extra devices or users may need a plan upgrade.

Cancelling. You can cancel any time by calling, texting or emailing us at least 7 days before your next billing date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month. We don't give partial refunds for unused time in a month.

Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before changing your plan's price. If you don't want the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.

Fair use. Plans are for normal, everyday support. If plan use goes well beyond what's typical (for example, rebuilding an entire network), we'll talk with you about a project quote or a plan that fits better.

4Remote access, your data and backups

Your permission. By requesting service, you confirm that you own the devices and accounts we work on, or that you're authorized to let us access them, and you give us permission to access them for the job you asked for.

Remote support. For remote sessions we use secure remote-access software. A session only starts with your approval, and you can watch it and end it at any time. When the job is done, we'll close the session. For recurring plans, we may install a monitoring or support tool with your permission, and we'll remove it if you cancel.

Privacy of your information. While we work on a device we may see files, emails or other personal information. We only access what we need to do the job, we keep what we see confidential, and we don't copy, keep or share your data except as needed to provide the Service or as required by law. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

Back up your data. Computer repairs carry a risk of data loss, especially when hardware is failing, a device is infected, or Windows is being reinstalled. You're responsible for backing up your data before service. We're happy to back it up for you as a paid service if you ask. Unless you've hired us to do a backup, we aren't responsible for lost or damaged data, software, settings or licenses.

Data recovery. Data recovery isn't always possible. We'll do our best, but we can't guarantee any data can be recovered. Any outside lab costs are quoted to you before we send anything out.

Passwords. If you share passwords with us so we can do the work, we'll only use them for that job. We recommend changing them after service is complete.

5Parts, workmanship warranty and devices left with us

Our workmanship. We stand behind our work. If the same problem we fixed comes back within 30 days because of our workmanship, we'll fix it again at no extra labor charge. This doesn't cover new problems, viruses or malware picked up after service, changes made by you or someone else, physical or liquid damage, or failing hardware we told you about.

Parts. New parts carry the manufacturer's warranty. We'll help you with a manufacturer's warranty claim, but labor to replace a part under warranty after our 30-day workmanship period is billed at our normal rate.

Older or failing equipment. Some devices are near the end of their life. If we think a repair isn't worth the money, we'll tell you. Repairs on older or already-failing hardware can't be guaranteed beyond our workmanship.

Devices left with us. If you drop off a device, we'll contact you when it's ready. Devices not picked up within 90 days after we've notified you in writing may be considered abandoned and handled as allowed by California law. We'll make reasonable efforts to reach you before that happens.

6Text messages, calls and AI Business Solutions

Text messaging. When you text us, or give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts (for example, on a form or when booking), you agree to receive text messages from Tabler's Computer Repair about your service: appointment confirmations and reminders, updates, estimates, invoices, and replies to your questions.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, and HELP for help. You can also contact us at (760) 825-7660 or tyler@tablerscomputerrepair.com.
  • Agreeing to receive texts isn't a condition of buying any service.
  • Mobile carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • We don't sell or share your mobile number or texting consent with third parties for their marketing.

Calls answered by AI. Calls to our business line may be answered by an AI receptionist that can answer questions and book appointments. Calls may be recorded and transcribed for quality, scheduling and record-keeping. You can always ask to leave a message for a person.

AI Business Solutions. Our AI receptionist, scheduling and related business services for other businesses are provided under a separate service agreement, which covers pricing, setup, minimum terms, call volume, HIPAA add-ons and each party's responsibilities. Where these Terms and that agreement differ, the service agreement controls. Businesses using our AI services are responsible for their own legal compliance, including caller consent, call recording notices, and consent for any outbound calls or texts to their own customers.

7Website use

You may use the Website to learn about our Services and contact us. Please don't misuse it: no hacking, scraping, spamming, or anything illegal. The Website's text, logos, videos and images belong to Tabler's Computer Repair or our licensors and can't be copied or reused without permission. Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We aren't responsible for their content or practices. Information on the Website is general and may change without notice.

8Disclaimers and limits of liability

We provide our Services with care and skill, but we can't promise that any device, software or network will be free of errors, viruses or interruptions, or that every problem can be fixed.

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • Our total liability for any claim related to the Website or Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific Service the claim is about.
  • We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost data (unless you hired us to back it up), lost profits, lost business or downtime, even if we were told they were possible.
  • We aren't responsible for problems caused by third-party hardware, software, internet providers, cloud services, or changes made by you or others after our service.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under California law that can't be waived, or our liability for our own gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

9Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most issues can be worked out with a simple conversation. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, or in small claims court where eligible.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Changes don't apply to work you've already approved. For recurring plans, we'll give you notice of any important changes before they apply to you.
